About Us

Mission Statement

The Clean Fuels Alliance Foundation works closely with Clean Fuels Alliance America to address national issues affecting us all. Organized in 1994, our mission is to advance the research and education of clean-burning, biomass-based diesel alternatives and their coproducts.

Strategic Plan

Majority of project funds have come from a multi-year Federal grant awarded in 2021. Since then, contributions from non-traditional funding sources and private individuals have increased. Although, Federal grants will remain an option and grant projects will be developed, the Clean Fuels Foundation will work toward its goal to diversify funding sources, relying less on Federal grants and more on non-traditional sources. The Board of Directors has identified the following goals as essential to support the Foundation’s mission and expand biomass-based diesel use:

Goal 1

Enhance biodiesel, renewable diesel and sustainable aviation fuel through education and outreach.

Goal 2

Fund critical biodiesel, renewable diesel and sustainable aviation fuel sustainability research.

Goal 3

Support the education of next generation biomass-based diesel experts.

Board Meetings

Board meetings are a crucial part of running this effective 501 (c) 3 organization. The Clean Fuels Foundation Board of Directors meets three times a year to discuss our vision, direction and goals. Directors monitor progress, ensure sufficient financial resources and safeguard the mission of the Foundation. To access the meeting agendas, email us at info@cleanfuelsfoundation.org.
