Funded in part by a Clean Fuels Foundation EPA DERA Grant, this was my first chance to see the project vehicles up close and to hear from Mr. Keith and his colleagues about the advantages of using B100 in their fleet. It gave me a great deal of pride knowing the Foundation is addressing the needs of the industry and its users through the DERA project and other Foundation activities that advance research and education about clean-burning, biomass-based diesel alternatives. The need for the Foundation’s education efforts in the coming year will be as important as ever with the change in federal leadership. I’ve served on the Foundation Board during two administration changes and one thing is certain – educating new Congressional members and staff is crucial to their understanding of the impacts policies have on clean fuel production and consumption, public health, job growth, and rural economies.
