NBF Treasurer Joins GWRCCC Board

Aug 29, 2019, 13:00 PM

NBF’s Treasurer and Renewable Energy Group’s Director of Government Affairs Lindsay Fitzgerald was selected as a new board member to the Greater Washington Region Clean Cities Coalition (GWRCCC).

Lindsay has a history of working in the biofuels industry. Prior to working at REG, she worked as the Director of Regulatory Affairs for the National Biodiesel Board and before that, with the Environmental Protection Agency serving as a specialist on the Renewable Fuel Standard. Lindsay has experience as a research analyst and legal assistant and is a graduate of Indiana University in Pennsylvania.

Lindsay has helped GWRCCC identify and capture opportunities that offer substantial petroleum displacement, toxic emissions reduction and carbon offsets.  The Renewable Energy Group (REG) has emerged as a strong partner of GWRCCC in the efforts to expand the use of biodiesel in the Greater Washington Region. These collaborative efforts have opened new opportunities for biodiesel in both trucking and off-road applications.

NBF President Jeff Lynn stated, “We are pleased Lindsay Fitzgerald has agreed to serve on the GWRCCC Board.  We know Lindsay will help raise biodiesel awareness in the DC region, which is very important to the Foundation.”

GWRCCC is a public-private partnership in the greater Washington region, promoting the use of clean, American transportation fuels for homeland security and improved air quality. There are nearly 90 coalitions around the countries. Since its inception in 1993, Clean Cities and its stakeholders have displaced more than 2 billion gallons of petroleum.
